Altrincham FC Community Sports are delighted to confirm the appointment of 3 new trustees to support the fundraising and commercial reach of the charity.
The current board of trustees identified a need to recruit in these particular areas to support the charity in gaining new funding streams to support their community programmes and increase the commercial reach of the charity in terms of sponsorship.
After advertising for the roles, we were delighted with the calibre of the applicants and the skillsets they would be able to bring to our board of trustees along with the fresh ideas and approach they would provide to our governance and leadership.
Shalni Arora, who was awarded an OBE for Social Cohesion and Philanthropy in the recent King’s Birthday honours, has dedicated decades to supporting numerous charitable causes. As a philanthropist and social entrepreneur, she has been actively involved in numerous charitable initiatives that address critical social issues.
Shalni currently sits on several charity boards and will bring an enormous amount of experience and knowledge to support the charity.
Phil Ascot, who is currently the Head of Fundraising & Marketing for Lancashire Cricket Foundation, brings a wealth of experience in marketing and income generation in the charitable sector. Phil’s current role enables him to provide the charity with invaluable knowledge about both local and national funding that will support anticipated growth over the coming years'.
Ben Greenwood, who is currently Group Sales Manager at The Jockey Club brings excellent sales and business development experience that will support the charity in its aim to grow its commercial footprint.
