introducing our new altyability sports development manager

I have a passion for both sport and football and want to make these accessible for all. I want to make Altrincham FC the number 1 destination for accessible sport.

I have an extensive background in both sport and SEN.

I graduated from Edge Hill University with a degree in Sports Development and Management, following this I went on to coach football across Canada and most recently a local grassroots team.

My experience in SEN comes from working within both PE and SEN departments across local schools.

My ultimate goal is to change the meaning behind the term disability as every person has a hidden ability and Altrincham FC will be the most inclusive club in the U.K. #Altyability.

Disability Sports Development Manager

Due to the unbelievable effort from Joseph and the funds his challenge is raising, we are delighted to be in a position to appoint a dedicated Disability Sports Development Manager to oversee and grow our already excellent disability sport provision.

This exciting development all came about after a conversation Community Manager Simon Dow had with Joseph’s Dad, Phil Adams, who is part of the investment group currently working with Altrincham FC.

“Myself & Phil were discussing the work we do as community charity and got round to talking about our disability sport offering. During the conversation I mentioned that it would be great if we could have a designated person to lead on our disability programme and help us develop & grow how we support children, young people & adults with disabilities. Just a day or so later, Phil messaged me to see what I thought about the fundraising challenge and the impact it could have on our delivery. The rest as they say is history”
