sport social

Our sports social sessions, take place within our Community Sports Hall and aim to provide a safe and comfortable environment for young adults to engage in interactive games and activities. The event takes place every Thursday afternoon and offers an inclusive experience.

The free session allows those with physical or learning difficulties to interact with like-minded people in a way not possible in other surroundings.

A variety of activities are provided such as more sport-based games like archery, cornhole, bowls and hurling. Alternatively, board games and card games are also on offer. Examples that are there include Snakes and Ladders, Uno and much more. With such an array, all participants are satisfied and thoroughly enjoy their time.

During the most recent session, Joseph who is currently training for his most recent venture was present. He enjoyed the session and engaged with Coach Dan in a game of Bowls. More about Joseph's Challenge is available on our website.

In addition, the event is very inclusive, which is one of its main strengths. When joining in with the activities, all participants are made to feel extremely welcome and involved. This was largely a result of the trained staff who played a pivotal part in the success.

Chris was one of the staff members present and was key in making everyone’s experience better. He led and supervised the card games, where he made sure everyone was engaged. This made for an enjoyable day that I'm sure all participants appreciated.

This is one of our most well-received sessions, with a welcoming group. They pride themselves on their inclusivity and ability to make any newcomers feel right at home as quickly as possible. So don’t be shy, and come on down!
